This episode explores the principle of truth and how it has been stripped from the Montana legal system, in fact leeched from the entirety of American government in most respects. Thoughs laws and rules exist to preserve righteousness and fairness within the legal system, in Montana more than any other section of the United States, honesty and truth have long been abandoned in favor of the pursuit of wealth and prestige by people in positions of authority. Stemming from Ancient Greece, Lady Justice herself is supposed to be a bastion of truth, yet what she represents has been slowly eroded away, just as her place amongst the four pillars of virtue has been segregated through time. When the original premise of her ideals are eroded, is it long before the word “truth” has no meaning?
